Dani Ceballos has shared a message from Zinedine Zidane about his Real Madrid future amid speculation Arsenal will bid to sign him permanently.
Ceballos has spent the season on loan with the Gunners from Madrid, and Arsenal are believed to be keen on signing him permanently – although there are doubts over whether they can afford the £40million-rated midfielder.
Juventus are also believed to be interested in bidding for the 23-year-old, who was beginning to find his feet at the Emirates before the coronavirus pandemic led to football being suspended.
But Ceballos has revealed he was given a pep talk by Real boss Zidane which could spell bad news for any clubs looking to prise the Spain international away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
"I saw Zidane in Valdebebas a few months ago when I was recovering from my injury and he told me that he watched my games with Arsenal," Ceballos told DAZN.
"I have a good relationship with him and he always told me that we are similar players in the sense that I need to play very often in order to be in good condition.
"He always told me that my future is in Real Madrid and that I needed to be patient because I will likely have a chance."
Earlier this month, The Athletic claimed Arsenal chiefs have accepted they they don't have the cash to fork out on Ceballos, and have instead turned their attention elsewhere.
And Manchester United playmaker Jesse Lingard, who has endured a stuttering campaign at Old Trafford, is one player who has attracted the attention of Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.
