Chelsea are reportedly hopeful they can recoup £60million to £70m for Antonio Rudiger and Tammy Abraham in order to fund the signing of a new centre-back, according to reports. The duo are allegedly at the centre of ‘aggressive marketing from an agent’, who is said to be looking to secure them moves away from Stamford Bridge in order to bolster the club’s transfer budget.
Rudiger recently confirmed he is in talks with Chelsea over a new deal but negotiations are yet to reach a positive outcome.
“As I said before, I wanted to concentrate on the Euros then after I come back, talks can start,” he said.
“That is what has happened for now. Talks have begun and we will see what time brings.”
The German international nearly joined Tottenham in January while Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in signing him as they continue to monitor his situation.

Yet according to football consultant Ian McGarry, he is being pushed towards the door along with striker Abraham as the Blues look to raise funds for a new centre-back.
“Chelsea have one more priority and that is a central defender,” McGarry said on The Transfer Window Podcast.
“Antonio Rudiger is being aggressively marketed by a very high-profile agent, as is Abraham by the same agent, someone who has worked for many, many years in the Premier League and has good relationships with most clubs.
“Therefore Chelsea are hopeful they can bring in at least 60 to 70 per cent of the outlay they have made for Lukaku, in selling Rudiger and Abraham.

“But they will also look to reinvest that money in a centre back to strengthen their defence for this season.
“Following the club’s Champions League success, Roman Abramovich has clearly made it his priority to regain the Premier League title.”
Abraham is believed to have met with Roma chiefs in London today after Chelsea accepted an offer worth £34m for the striker.
Yet he remains unconvinced about a move overseas and he wants to stay in the Premier League if he leaves Chelsea.
