Arsenal star makes plea to Matteo Guendouzi amid Man Utd transfer links

Arsenal star Matteo Guendouzi ignored a plea from team-mate David Luiz to back down in his spat with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta. The 21-year-old hasn’t featured for Arsenal since their 2-1 defeat at Brighton last month.

It’s understood the midfielder has been training with a fitness coach away from his team-mates after a falling out with Arteta.

Gunners boss Arteta has warned Guendouzi he will not feature until his attitude changes.

When asked why Guendouzi didn’t make his squad for Arsenal’s 4-0 win against Norwich last week, Arteta replied: “For the same reasons as last week.

“Things have to change and nothing has changed.”

France international Guendouzi has been tipped to leave the Emirates after his fall out with Arteta.

Manchester United are said to be eyeing the France international.

United, Barcelona, PSG, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are all interested in Guendouzi.

And according to France Football, Arsenal star Luiz urged Guendouzi to change his attitude and back down in his spat with Arteta.

However, the midfielder refused to do so.

Arteta has been vocal on the type of players he wants at Arsenal, with the Spaniard only willing to coach hungry stars.

He recently said: “I want players that respect the values that we want to implement, that are 100 per cent committed to our culture and players that are accountable every day for what we demand from them.

“Players that are ready to help each other, fight for each other and enjoy playing together.
