Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Lille midfielder Renato Sanches, who has impressed at Euro 2020 so far.

Sanches has featured in all three of Portugal's games and his international exploits come off the back of an impressive campaign in Ligue 1.

The 23-year-old featured 23 times for Lille as they won their first league title in 10 years, finishing one point above Mauricio Pochettino's Paris Saint-Germain.

According to 90Min, Sanches' performances have caught the eye of Arsenal, who have 'asked Lille to be kept informed' about the player's future.

The report also states that Sanches is keen to prove himself in the Premier League, having previously struggled during a loan stint at Swansea.

After making a big money move to Bayern Munich in 2016, Sanches initially struggled for game-time and he made the switch to the Liberty Stadium in 2017.

At the time, it looked like a real coup for Swansea but he managed just 12 league appearances, failing to score or provide an assist.

Sanches ultimately returned to Bayern and was sold to Lille a year later, becoming the French club's record signing.

He has successfully rebuilt his reputation at Lille and Arsenal are not the only Premier League side who have been linked with his services.

Liverpool are also said to be interested in the midfielder, who is on their radar as a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.

Jose Mourinho has previously admitted that he would have liked to sign Sanches, telling Sport TV in 2017: "I arrived [at Manchester United] late. I signed in May, we started talking a week before, but completely out of the process. If I had arrived earlier, I'd have fought for him.

"Manchester United watched Renato many times and maybe I did it even more. In so much time at home, I watched many Benfica and Portuguese league games, I got to know the boy better with time.

"He's in a big club, in a league where he'll certainly be the champion. The club have players of a very high level which belong to the structure, a little like Benfica."
