Martin Odegaard is unlikely to be registered in time to face Chelsea this Sunday, reports claim. The Norwegian is in London to put the finishing touches on his return to Arsenal but the attacking midfielder may have to show patience before making his full debut.
Arsenal are understood to have struck a deal in the region of £30million to sign the 22-year-old, who starred for the club while on loan in the second half of last season.
Odegaard had returned to Real Madrid for a full pre-season under Carlo Ancelotti but he failed to win over the Italian during his time in Spain.
After being left off Ancelotti’s squad list for the La Liga opener against Alaves, Arsenal received the green light to try and negotiate a deal.
