Arsenal could land Barcelona goalkeeper Neto on the cheap in the January transfer window as they reportedly look to sell Bernd Leno. Mikel Arteta’s side were linked with a £15million move for Neto in the summer before signing Aaron Ramsdale, who has since displaced Leno as the Premier League side’s No1.
Arsenal were linked with several goalkeeping options over the summer, including Ramsdale, Neto and Ajax stopper Andre Onana.
They eventually landed their top target when they signed Ramsdale for £25million from Sheffield United, and the 23-year-old has kept four clean sheets in six starts after breaking into Arteta’s team.
Ramsdale’s form leaves Leno facing an uncertain future, with the German keeper set to enter the final year of his contract next summer.
And the Gunners could look to sell Leno in the new year and bring in Neto on loan to provide competition for Ramsdale, according to a report from Spain.

Barcelona are willing to loan the 32-year-old out in the January as they look to trim the wage bill, according to Sport.
The Spanish publication says Barca are willing to let Neto join another club on loan as long as an obligation to buy is included in the deal.
Tottenham and West Ham have also been linked with interest in the Brazilian keeper, who hasn’t played since the opening game of the season.
With Marc-André ter Stegen firmly established as the club’s No1, Neto is only likely to see action in the Copa del Rey, and it is said he wants a move to further his ambitions of playing in next year’s World Cup in Qatar.

The report says Arsenal could be interested as they are expected to try and cash in on Leno.
However, it is doubtful whether Neto would accept a move to the Emirates if it is clear he would be a back-up to Ramsdale.
The young keeper could do little about Crystal Palace’s goals in Monday’s 2-2 draw after defensive mistakes from the Gunners in the build-up to both goals.

Prior to Monday’s game, Ramsdale had conceded just once, with Arteta praising the way he handled the pressure of playing for Arsenal.
“The way we decided to recruit Aaron was to go through a big process where obviously we wanted to know a lot about his personality, his character and the way he could handle the big pressure of playing for a big club,” Arteta said after a 0-0 draw against Brighton ended a three-match winning run.
“He’s showing that he’s ready to do that.
“I’m really happy with his performances and what he’s bringing to the team and it’s another reason why the team has made it difficult to concede goals.”
