Arsenal concern as Dani Ceballos wears Real Betis shirt on holiday

Arsenal fans will be hoping Dani Ceballos has not dropped a hint over his future after the midfielder was pictured wearing a Real Betis shirt on holiday.

Ceballos has just spent the season on loan at Arsenal from Real Madrid and helped the Gunners beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are keen to keep Ceballos on loan for another season but the club must negotiate a new deal with Madrid, who are yet to make a decision over the midfielder’s future.

Ceballos has made it clear that he wants regular football and has already warned Madrid that he will seek a move away if he is not guaranteed to play 35 games under Zinedine Zidane next season.

But following Arsenal’s success in the FA Cep final at Wembley earlier this month, Ceballos also revealed that Real Betis have kept in contact with him and refused to rule out a return to his boyhood club.

‘I have a lot of love for Betis, for everyone that works at the club,’ said the midfielder. ‘They know the love I have for them and we’ve been in contact all season. Betis means a lot to me.’

And Ceballos has now fuelled speculation after he was pictured wearing a Real Betis shirt whilst playing a game of Parcheesi with his friends on Monday evening.

Ceballos joined Betis at the age of 15 in 2011 and went on to make 105 appearances for the club before he was sold to Madrid in 2017.

Speaking about Ceballos’ future at Arsenal before the end of the season, Arteta said: ‘I’m really happy with him.

‘The way he’s evolving, and I love how much he likes to play football – the passion he puts into every training session and every game, you just have to see his celebrations.

‘I think he’s evolving in the right way and he’s becoming a really important player for us.’
