UFC 250 purses and prize money for Amanda Nunes vs Felicia Spencer

Amanda Nunes will earn less than $500,000 if she retains her UFC featherweight title tonight.

The Brazilian will earn $350,000 regardless of the result against Felicia Spencer at UFC 250 in Las Vegas.

Her earnings will climb to $450,000 if she holds on to her belt, while Spencer will earn $125,000 plus $75,000 if she causes an upset.

Elsewhere on the card, Rafael Assuncao will earn $79,000 for taking on Cody Garbrandt, who will pick up $130,000.

The winner will double his winnings, as will the victor of Aljamain Sterling ($76,000) against Cory Sandhagen ($80,000).

Both Nunes and Spencer have fought Cris Cyborg in their careers, with the latter losing to the formidable Brazilian.

But she feels the defeat will stand her in good stead.

“It’s helpful,” Spencer said. “I felt really good going into that fight without ever being on a stage like that. But every experience I have makes me better.

“I think I actually match up better with Nunes than Cyborg. Cyborg is very aggressive, she’s extremely well rounded but she’s maybe known to be more explosive.

“The way she fought Amanda was a normal fight for her, but it didn’t go in her favour because Amanda matched it.

“Whereas, if Amanda tried to match my style, I’d come out on top because my grinding pressure is better than anyone.

"I have the ability to find a way to win in a special way that other people don’t.”

Spencer also expects tonight’s contest to go to the canvas, where she is most favoured.

“I anticipate it will go the ground at some point, but I’m not going to rush it,” she said.

“Most fights end up on the ground unless both people don’t want it to. Amanda isn’t afraid and she’s very well rounded, so she has no reason to try to avoid it.

"It’s not like my game plan is to go out there and just try to grapple.”
