Tyron Woodley offers savage response to Jake Paul’s $500k fight bonus

Tyron Woodley has offered a savage response to Jake Paul's offer of an extra $500,000 if the former UFC star manages to knock him out.

Woodley has stated that it provides 'extra motivation' for him to defeat Paul via KO in their upcoming bout.

Paul and Woodley will square off again on December 18 after Tommy Fury pulled out of the bout.

Fury suffered a broken rib in the build-up to the fight, allowing Woodley to step in as Paul's opponent.

Woodley had already been training hoping to get another shot at Paul after losing via split decision earlier this year.

“At the end of the day, you put a bag on your own head,” Woodley told MMA Fighting on Thursday.

"S***, I’m completely all about taking that free money. I had planned on doing that anyway, but if he wants to entice me a little bit more.

“You don’t offer a kid from Ferguson half a bag to go out there and do what he wanted to do anyway. So it does put motivation. You don’t put a bounty on your own f****** head and think I’m not going to take it.

"When you feel like you’re at a certain level, you feel like you’re at a certain point of your life and your career, you want the bag to match where you feel like you’re at, it’s just kind of a personal matter behind it."

There were reports following the first bout that Woodley wouldn't be allowed to KO Paul, as per their contract.

However, USA Today reported that the only stipulation in the contract was that Woodley couldn't wear Grant gloves.
