Jake Paul threatens to steal Tommy Fury’s hat too after Mayweather mass brawl

Jake Paul has threatened to steal Tommy Fury’s hat when the pair come face to face this weekend.

Paul and Fury are both set to compete on Saturday night at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

Paul will take on former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in the main event bout of the evening. Fury is set to face MMA veteran Anthony Taylor on the undercard, in what will be his seventh professional bout to date.

While Paul will undoubtedly be focussed on his own fight, he may well have one eye on Fury’s contest, with a bout between the pair expected to take place if both men win.

Paul and Fury already share a heated rivalry, stemming from Fury’s callout of the YouTube star several months ago.

While the back-and-forth initially seemed light-hearted, Paul made things personal after posting a screenshot of an alleged Instagram DM from Fury’s girlfriend, Molly-Mae Hague.

The DM was quickly proved to be fake by Hague’s legion of fans. However, Fury was already riled up by Paul’s antics and recently claimed he would “break every bone in his face.”

This weekend will likely see the pair come face to face for the first time, and ahead of their expected meeting, Paul has issued a hilarious warning to Fury in an interview with The Sun.

"I would tell him not to wear a hat. If he wants to play those games, we can play those games, Tommy.

"Look, if you want to wear a hat, that s***'s going to get taken, one way or another. I'm stealing everybody's hat, nobody's hat's safe.

"This kid's not fast enough, Floyd Mayweather, I took this guy's hat and he had to have 20 guys to hold me down before he could get one punch off 15 seconds later.”

Paul’s threat comes several months after he famously confronted Mayweather at a press conference in May and snatched the boxing legend’s hat.

While the gesture seemed playful, mayhem followed, and Mayweather’s large security detail attacked the YouTube star.

The former Olympian stomped around the conference venue and claimed he would “kill that mother f****r”.

Here’s hoping Paul avoids similarly violent repercussions if he is to steal Fury’s hat this weekend.
