Jake Paul takes aim at Tommy Fury’s girlfriend in ‘mic drop’ end to conference

Jake Paul has taken further aim at Tommy Fury's girlfriend before dropping his microphone in a brief final statement at the opening press conference.

The pair officially announced their hotly-anticipated meeting on social media which will take place on December 18 in Florida.

And Paul has feuded with Fury for months including poking jibes at his partner Molly-Mae Hague, who he met during his time on reality TV show Love Island.

His latest jibe has come during his final statement at the press-conference where he labelled Hague a "catfish" before his mic-drop moment.

Paul ended his press-conference appearance before dropping his microphone: "Tommy Fury's girlfriend is a catfish".

The pair have been embroiled in a set of back-and-forth exchanges since their initial face-off in Cleveland when Paul defeated Tyron Woodley.

Fury also claimed a routine victory over Paul's sparring partner Anthony Taylor on the undercard which was viewed to set up the showdown between the famed social media pair.

Paul has frequently referenced Fury's partner Hague who he shot to fame with back in 2019, previously labelling her a "catfish" during his previous call-outs of Fury.

The 24-year-old also claimed that Hague had been "sliding in his DM's" when he produced a screenshot of her appearing to request to meet him before her meteoric rise to fashion industry stardom.

Hague was quick to deny it was true, claiming the image was "photoshopped" in a bid to grab Fury's attention.

As the huge test against Fury approaches next month, Paul is excited at the prospect of proving his credentials by facing a full-time boxer.

And he has bizarrely compared his resume to boxing greats Floyd Mayweather and Muhammad Ali in a bid to prove his worth.

"Nobody from Muhammad Ali to Mike Tyson to Floyd Mayweather was testing themselves as much as I was in my fourth fight," Paul said.

“With every fight, I’m giving the people what they want, and what they wanted was for me to fight a real boxer.

"That’s what everybody kept saying. So here is a real boxer who is the same height, same age, same reach, a better record than me and who has been boxing his entire life.

"His brother is the heavyweight champion of the world. He has a legendary name, he has the following, he has the star power. It’s the perfect fight."

Fury however is also relatively inexperienced in the sport having fought just seven times professionally against low-level opposition with losing records.

But he will be under pressure to deliver on fight night with his heavyweight champion brother Tyson and father John threatening to end his boxing career if he suffers defeat.

His brother will attend the fight and be in Tommy's corner for the showdown which will take place over eight rounds at a catchweight agreed before the bout.

And he has already began training Fury with the pair shown going through their paces in a video as the 22-year-old's preparations begin.
