Jake Paul calls out Conor McGregor again amid criticism after Nate Robinson KO

Jake Paul has sensationally claimed a fight will Conor McGregor is "gonna happen" after he recorded a knockout victory over Nate Robinson.

The YouTube star delivered a sickening second-round knockout to former NBA player Robinson in a bout which has been widely condemned across the boxing world.

Robinson was knocked down twice before the devastating final blow sent him face first and unconscious to the mat.

The fight, which took place on the under-card of Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr's exhibition fight in California, was Paul's second professional bout following a debut win in January.

His opponent however was fighting competitively for the first time, after ending a decade long career in the NBA two years ago.

The fight has come in for intense criticism, with several boxers slamming the decision to allow it to go ahead.

Tyson's former trainer Teddy Atlas tweeted: "I don't care about athletes or not, stop allowing guys who don't know how to fight into a ring. Paul has actually trained to fight. Awful. Why have a California commission if they allow this?"

Meanwhile, seven-weight former world champion Amanda Serrano, warned someone would "get hurt" unless protocols are changed.

"They need to stop this stupid celebrity boxing thing," Serrano said

"Boxing is a serious game. Nothing to be doing for YouTube likes.

"Most amateurs turning pro fight four rounds, these guys are debuting in a six-rounder. Someone's going to get really hurt one day. Not cool at all."

Just after the fight was concluded, Paul sent a message to UFC superstar McGregor's agent, promising that a fight will go ahead in the future.

“There's my brother, there's KSI on the line, Austin McBroom. I want to be in this sport a long time. I'm in love with it, so why not.”

McGregor has had just one professional boxing bout, losing to Floyd Mayweather Jr back in 2017.

And Mayweather himself has touted himself as a potential opponent for Paul, posting ahead of his bout with Robinson: "These YouTube girls better find some Barbie dolls to play with cause I’m not the one for the kid games. 3 years ago a fighter from the UFC said my name and I had to put a muzzle on that b****. @loganpaul can get the same treatment before I go conquer Japan again."
