Evander Holyfield says ‘it feels great to be back’ after releasing another training video ahead of a potential fight with Mike Tyson.
The 57-year-old looked in incredible shape in the extended video he released earlier this week as he carried out pull-ups and weighted dips with ease.
Holyfield has also enlisted the help of Wladimir Klitschko and Antonio Tarver to help with his training as he prepares for a surprise return to boxing.
In his latest training montage, Holyfield can be seen going through a shadow-boxing routine before lacing up the gloves and hitting the mitts that are held up by Tarver.
Holyfield posted the video with the caption: ‘First couple weeks of training in the boxing gym and it feels great to be back.’
Holyfield has stated that he plans to return in an exhibition match to raise money for charity but his opponent has not yet been confirmed.
Tyson, meanwhile, is also planning a surprise return for similar reasons and has been in regular training with the help of legendary MMA coach Rafael Cordeiro.
Earlier this week, Tyson showed off his impressive physique in a video to fans on the Chinese social media platform Weibo.
In the clip, the 53-year-old reiterated that he was considering a return to boxing and said, ‘if I do, I’m going to fight with the spirit of Mao’.
On Saturday evening, Tyson also made a guest appearance during All Elite Wrestling’s ‘Double or Nothing’ PPV event.
‘And whatever money we get, it’s going to somebody else. I’m not going to make any money – probably the company, my wife because she’s partners with me, she’ll make some probably. But my money is going [to charity].’
