Eddie Hall's wife Alexandra makes the former World's Strongest Man six meals a day which all have to be served "on a platter".
As part of his preparations to take on fellow strongman Hafthor Bjornsson in Dubai on Saturday, 'The Beast' has been eating a diet of up to 7,000 calories a day. Alexandra has previously opened up on this diet, having explained that Hall had altered his calorie intake to prepare for the fight as he looked to shred fat and maintain muscle.
Hall is making his boxing debut in the highly-anticipated exhibition bout with Bjornsson, as they settle years of rivalry.
Speaking to StokeonTrentLive in 2020, Alexandra explained: “Eddie’s diet changes depending on what it is he is trying to achieve. At the minute, he is trying to lose fat and maintain muscle, so he is eating around 7,000 calories per day.
“He usually eats six meals per day, and the focus is on carbs, protein and vegetables.
“Eddie doesn’t eat normal sized meals, so I have to serve it to him on a platter because it’s too much food to fit on a plate.
Who will win the bout between Eddie Hall and Hafthor Bjornsson? Let us know in the comments section below.
“I cook all of Eddie’s meals, unless there are some days where I am overloaded with my own commitments. In that case, I will prepare it for him and I will leave him instructions on how to cook it.
“It’s not that Eddie can’t or won’t cook, but I don’t think he has ever had the time to try, he has always been so busy with training and competing.
“I try to take care of as much as I can around the house so that Eddie can focus completely on his training.”
Hall finally gets the chance to put his diet preparation and training into action on Saturday, almost two years after agreeing to take on Bjornsson.
The pair were originally due to enter the ring in September 2021 but the fight was postponed after Hall suffered an injury just two months before the scheduled bout.
