Conor McGregor was unable to attend his UFC 264 after-party at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas following his horror injury in Saturday's fight.
The Irishman took on Dustin Poirier in a highly-anticipated trilogy bout, and was expected to appear win, lose or draw, at the plush Las Vegas club after the event.
And despite insisting that he would be there in his post-fight interview, and inviting his opponent's wife to attend in a disgusting rant, the club confirmed he wouldn't be in attendance.
" Conor McGregor will not be attending tonight's event at Encore Beach Club at Night," the club said in a statement on Instagram stories.
"We want to wish Conor a quick and safe recovery.
"From your Wynn nightlife family."
McGregor had said that he would be in attendance at the event when speaking with Joe Rogan after the bout, telling Poirier's wife Jolie to join him at the Wynn nightclub, but he is now awaiting surgery for his gruesome leg break.
"Your wife is in my DMs," McGregor said in a taunting shout to Poirier. "Hey baby, hit me back up I'll chat to you later on.
"I'll be at the after party; The Wynn night club, you're looking in bits you h**."
McGregor had been claiming in the build-up to the bout that Mrs Poirier had slid into his DMs, but has yet to reveal the message she was supposedly attempting to send him.
He posted a screenshot, and accompanying 'proof' video to indicate that she requested to send him a message, but the message wasn't visible.
And in one particularly crass insult to Poirier on Twitter, the Irishman said that she 'wanted him'.
"Your wife wants to see the hair around my d*** and b**** bro," McGregor said in a filthy tweet responding to Poirier telling him his trash talk was 'as thin as his hair'.
"See what that’s like, it’s real the message request mate, no trash talk. Man to man, it’s f***ed up!
"I seen your interview with Mike you think it was fake. It’s not. Have a think on it in the sauna anyway."
Poirier ultimately got his own back, winning the trilogy at the end of the first round and setting up a world title fight with Charles Oliveira.
And Jolie was spotted giving Conor McGregor the middle finger after the pair's fight as he made his comments to Rogan in the cage.
It's a far cry from when she visited the dressing room following his last fight with Poirier and thanked him for his involvement in the rematch, and his charity donation which was ultimately cancelled.
McGregor had committed to give Poiriers 'Good Fight Foundation' a $500,000 donation, but instead opted to give the same sum to another charity in Poirier's home state of Louisiana.
Poirier, whose wife runs the foundation on a day-to-day basis, insists there is no lingering animosity on his part – but the same can't be said for McGregor.
