Chris Eubank Jr gets assistance from Anthony Joshua in Dubai sparring session

Anthony Joshua has been providing moral support to Chris Eubank Jr ahead of his upcoming bout with Liam Williams.

The 32-year-old will take on the Welsh middleweight in Cardiff next month – and during his preparations, he was greeted with the surprise visitor.

Eubank Jr has been training in Dubai and Joshua came to watch his fellow boxer train.

The fight with Williams, initially set for December 11, was delayed for six weeks after the Welshman picked up an injury to his deltoid.

Eubank Jr will be given a shot fighting Gennady Golovkin for the IBF middleweight title if he defeats Williams.

Joshua’s meeting with the former WBA interim middleweight title was archived on social media, with Eubank Jr uploading a picture of the pair with the caption: "Even over the holidays we still stay hustlin’.

"Boxing isn’t a job… it’s a lifestyle."

AJ also shared the picture of the two via his Instagram story.

Eubank Jr and Williams have been at each others’ throats over the past few months, with the Brit refusing to admit he “respects” his opponent.

He said last month via The Sun: "Respect is definitely not a word I would use in my feeling towards Liam.

"He has said a lot of reckless feelings online and it doesn’t sit well with me.

Who do you think will win next month's bout between Williams and Eubank Jr? Let us know in the comments section.

“This is a grudge match and genuine domestic rivalry, the things he has said has made it personal.

"The things he has said, 'lowlife', 'scumbag' and 'cretin', these are the words that I can use to describe a man that talks the way he talks and he will eat his words soon enough.

“It seems he has come here today and take about respect but it has gone too far past that and he is going to get embarrassed."

The fight between Eubank Jr and Williams was rescheduled to Saturday, January 29 at the Motorpoint Arena.
