BT Sport apologise after John Fury’s X-rated rant over Jake Paul’s girlfriend

BT Sport have been forced to apologise after John Fury went on an X-rated rant over Jake Paul’s girlfriend Julia Rose.

Fury was taking part in a press conference – that was broadcast live on BT Sport – promoting his son Tommy’s fight with the YouTube star turned boxer Paul.

Fury Snr was alongside Tommy, and other son Tyson in front of the UK media, whilst Paul and the fight promoter Frank Warren appeared via a video call.

During the press conference both sides exchanged verbal blows, however it seems 57-year-old John took the comments too far when he honed in on Paul’s partner Rose.

Fury Sr took to the mic and horrifically commented to the American: “You know when Tommy knocks you out he's going to bend your girlfriend over and do her like a dog, in front of you."

Following his outrageous outburst the 67-year-old was reminded by the BT Sport team that they were broadcasting live, to which he replied: “So I'm telling you straight, that's where we are coming from. If you don't like it, change the channel."

Everyone in the room was left shell-shocked, and John’s boxing sons Tyson and Tommy looked visibly embarrassed, as the latter put his head to his hands.

The distasteful comments led to BT Sport issuing a statement, apologising for Fury Sr's words which ‘went against the values’ of the broadcaster.

Will Fury defeat Paul in December? Let us know in the comments section below.

The apology read: “This week BT Sport streamed a live boxing press conference that included a number of offensive and unacceptable comments, some of which has led to further online abuse.

"This goes against all the values that BT Sport wants to uphold. We would like to apologise for any offence or upset this has caused."

John’s older son Tyson – who recently defended his world heavyweight title against Deontay Wilder – joked towards the end of the press conference: “Security, take the mic off John.”

He then went on to ask if the media event could come to an end to avoid his father getting into any more trouble adding: “Can we wrap up then? Before my dad gets himself in a world of trouble."

Clearly unaware of the offence his comments may have caused the 57-year-old replied: “You should not be ashamed. My middle name's trouble."

Tommy will take on newly made rival Paul in Tampa on December 18, which is no doubt set to be the biggest fight of the 22-year-old’s career, and dad John is more than confident his son will prevail on the YouTuber’s home soil.

Fury Snr told TalkSport: “We can't lose this, it's impossible that Jake Paul can beat this man.

"All it is is we're just enjoying because we're very lucky to be in the situation before Christmas.”

He went on to add that victory in Tampa would top off a remarkable few months for the Fury family, following older son Tyson's remarkable heavyweight title victory last month.

He continued: “And it's just gonna make for the greatest Christmas for the Furys that we've probably ever had. Because we've just come off a good win with Deontay Wilder, we're flying high.

“This is just icing on the cake. It's an hors d'oeuvre come after the main course, we know that. But let me just tell you – there's going to be a lot of fun and games and we want his brother the week after.

“We'll have his brother on the second and third of January. That's how confident we are of beating this bum."
