Anthony Joshua 'fit and well' after meeting Prince Charles who has coronavirus

Anthony Joshua is ‘fit and well’ after coming into contact with Prince Charles, who has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

On March 9, Joshua met the Queen, Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Prince Charles at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

It is unclear whether Prince Charles was suffering from the virus at that point but Joshua is now in self-isolation.

On Wednesday it was announced that Prince Charles had been showing mild symptoms ‘but otherwise remains in good health’.

A spokesperson for Joshua told MailOnline: ‘AJ is at home following government guidelines, he is fit and well.

‘He wishes everyone affected a speedy recovery and a huge thank you to all the front line key workers.’

Joshua is set to defend his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20.

But that date is no in doubt as sporting events have been postponed following the coronavirus outbreak.
